Elk Grove Village Police Department Earns CALEA Accreditation

The Elk Grove Village Police Department has earned Advanced Law Enforcement Accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) following a rigorous multi-year evaluation of its policies, procedures, and community engagement efforts. This accreditation places the department among the top 5% of law enforcement agencies nationwide and reaffirms its commitment to professionalism and public safety.
The Police Department first earned CALEA accreditation in 1993 and has now been re-accredited for the 10th time. It was also awarded CALEA’s Advanced Meritorious Award for its long-standing commitment to professional excellence.
- “CALEA Accreditation is a benchmark for law enforcement excellence. This process ensures that we continually evaluate and improve our operations to better serve the community. This has been the consistent standard of the Elk Grove Village Police Department going back to 1993. It is an honor to continue in this tradition," said Police Chief David Dorn.
